Taft started the career of a regional affiliate and sideline reporter with Fox Sports North, after earning a broadcast journalism degree from Boston University. Apart from covering sports she also served as a social media contributor and filled in as hosts for a variety of games. As soon as she started being employed by Fox Sports 1, her team comprised of News and Highlights, Taft was pushed to the side. Taft has covered reputed names and has reported them on the ground for FS1. In addition, she was a football sideline journalist and was the head of college journalism with Gus Johnson. At the time she was invited in 2018 to become the moderator and host of Skip and Shannon: Undisputed she rose to prominence. Recently, she's been identified as the host for her own show CFB Inside Slant.
